In the end, waiting for a new four-door Aston Martin finished. British car makers officially launched its new Rapide 2011 at the Frankfurt motor show in 2009, to end a three-year old tease.
Aston Rapide first launched as a concept at the Detroit auto show in 2006, but the slinky sedan - was announced as the Aston Martin for the entire family to enjoy - not be approved for production until the company was wrestled from the control of Ford. Despite management changes, the original design Rapide remain relatively undisturbed.
